Barcelona was recently graced by the unique presence of award-winning filmmaker, Louie Schwartzberg, as we premiered his latest creation, GRATITUDE REVEALED. A powerful cinematic exploration of gratitude’s transformative power, the film struck a chord with all attendees and left a lasting impression.
Built on a foundation of forty years of intimate conversations and experiences, Schwartzberg crafted a compelling narrative.
Through intimate dialogues with everyday people, thought leaders, and personalities, the film presents gratitude as the key to combat the disconnection we often experience in our lives – from ourselves, our planet, and each other.
The event with 200 participants commenced with a short breathing gratitude meditation with a host and organiser of the event, Alsu Kashapova, who guided participants through a communal act of synchronising our brainwaves and hearts to receive the wisdom of the movie.
This reflective exercise served as a primer for the transformative 82-minute Film journey that followed.
The film screening evoked a cascade of emotions and provoked thoughtful introspection among the audience. The heartfelt exploration of gratitude presented by Schwartzberg resonated deeply, triggering a wave of newfound understanding and appreciation.
The event culminated in an exclusive Q&A session and conversation with Louie Schwartzberg. Attendees were provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with the creator of the film, ask pertinent questions, and share their stories. The rich dialogue only served to enrich the overall experience.
“It has been amazing. I was impacted by every part of it. I feel it is full of treasures and this documentary would be great to share with everybody. It can bring consciousness to each of us. I got many messages: the power of gratitude, the way we look at challenges, less is more – avoid full agenda to let space be …”
“Delighted by my experience at Gratitude’s movie screening. A wonderfully organised event filled with palpable energy and insightful conversations that echoed the movie’s ethos.”
“I was very inspired by Louis’ humbleness, especially his willingness to meet and speak with us one to one afterwards
“The full impact of yesterday’s gathering didn’t hit me until my dream turned into a gratitude meditation last night. Thank you, everyone for cocreating this wave”
“I’m so honored of being able to come and see this wonderful and heart touching movie yesterday , looking forward for more!”
“I believe connection is the basis of all happiness. I could not be more grateful for the connection we all felt during Friday’s gathering at the screening of the film “Gratitude Revealed”. My purpose in life is to remind everyone how to be grateful for their incredible body, the three trillion cells that work together in unison to create this human experience, like Louie reminded us.
Watching this film reinforced my trust in life, in love and the human heart.”

As we look back on the remarkable journey of GRATITUDE REVEALED, we are left with a deeper understanding of gratitude’s vital role in our lives, its ability to build resilience, give purpose, and deliver health benefits. We extend our deepest gratitude to Louie Schwartzberg, Sara Ramo, Kirt Eftekhar, Alsu Kashapova, our Partners and all attendees for making this event a resounding success.
Reflect daily on what gratitude means to you, a positive event, and a person you appreciate. Use Naikan meditation’s questions: “What have I received from__?”, “What have I given to__?”, and “What troubles have I caused?”.
Daily, write down ten things you are grateful for. It can be about events, personal traits, or valued people in your life. This practice strengthens the theme of gratitude in your life. No matter how the day goes, you can always find gratitude for life itself.
Revisit a moment of gratitude, engaging all senses. Relive what you saw, heard, smelled, tasted, and touched. Embrace the emotions and sensations from that moment.
Every day, express your gratitude to one person. You can do this in person or through a heartfelt message, enhancing both your and their feelings of gratitude.
During walks, appreciate nature’s beauty. Observe the trees, flowers, and changes in the environment. Pick up any litter as a gesture of gratitude.
Create a visual board or film to remember what you’re grateful for. These visual reminders combat forgetfulness and enhance mindful awareness, promoting sustained gratefulness.
Integrate gratitude prayers into your routine. These prayers help you acknowledge the source of all that you have and are, enhancing spiritual connection and gratitude.

For over 40 years, I’ve dedicated my life to making films celebrating life and the human spirit. From a young age, my parents, both Holocaust survivors, appreciated all the little things in life and the blessing of having children. My upbringing taught me the importance of living a daily life full of gratitude.
After graduating from UCLA, I began to shoot flowers 24/7, 365 days a year and still have time lapse cameras rolling non-stop. To this day, I am in awe of the beauty of nature, whether oceans, mountains, flowers, bees, or mushrooms. Each day, I am thankful for the opportunity to film nature’s beauty and share my images with a worldwide audience with the hope that people are seduced by the beauty of this planet and fall in love with it and are willing to protect it.
During the pandemic, I was moved by how society was disconnected, and the small things in life, whether meeting a friend for coffee or hugging a family member, were taken away from them. I felt compelled to show my gratitude for our world during such a complex and unpredictable time. I wanted to help people in desperate need of connection, both inner and external, and address the global suffering from isolation, stress, and anxiety due to the pandemic. So, I decided to make Gratitude Revealed.
My goal is to provide an audience with an immersive cinematic experience. Through vignettes of everyday and remarkable people, we find the beauty in humanity and the resilience of the human spirit, and the desire to reconnect with each other.
The film provides a global audience an opportunity to open our hearts and see each other with compassion and understanding and build bridges with those who think differently. In addition, the film provides the audience with a shift in consciousness on gratitude’s vital role in their lives and how they can work towards experiencing more of it daily, as it builds resilience, gives purpose, and health benefits in these troubled times.
